Scrapbook!

I want to print my own scrapbook paper in order to sell my paper design at the local scrapbook stores. What kind of printer do I need to use to print professionally? Would I need to have it done by the printer company or what?

This can vary a lot. Ideally, you want to buy a personal inkjet printer, as lasers tend to be VERY unforgiving of what you put into them whereas on an inkjet you can fudge around with sizes and papers.

I would invest in a hand trimmer from Staples or your local scrapbook store (Should be maybe, what, $20-$30?) and trim a whole bunch of scrapbook paper to the size you want. Then, get an inkjet printer and adjust it to your specific size. Think of it as printing an envelope, you want to print 4×6 pages, you would adjust it in your printer properties to be a 4×6 size, and voila.

I’m not sure what size you want it, but an inkjet, probably in the $100-$200 range would be your best bet for getting this done. Printing scrapbook paper professionally is a can of worms you don’t really want to open, trust me on this one. I’ve worked in a Kinkos back in the day as well as working for a trade printer now, and no one will want to touch scrapbook paper for you. It’ll be better for your ego, cost, and general knowledge to just grab a personal inkjet and experiment a bit, you’ll get better results and a nice feeling of accomplishment when it turns out the way you like.

Scrapbooking, not just in the United States, but all over the globe, has created quite a lot of sensation. The cable television with numerous craft shows being telecasted has brought real interest among people. The sensation has been spread to the Asian part of the Globe too where people now are indulged in several acts of scrapbooking. Magazines too have cropped up providing techniques for wider scope of its readers.

The most common thing which the television craft programs and magazines have done is manifesting scrapbooking to be extremely easy and quick. This has made everyone to go about it. No matter whether the person is artistic or not, he would attempt to do some scrapbooking as it all looks so much at ease.

Several accessories and tools which are being sold in the market have again added to its advertisement showing up the subject to be widely accessible. Copying and pasting is now ruled out and people have found many shortcuts to go towards scrapbooking. Layouts and designs are readily available and various topics on the internet are devoted to this area of entertainment.

If you think, there is no pile of magazines or newspaper at your place; you can just stop to buy one. Buy a magazine and cut pictures and graphics from it. This would not be as expensive as getting stickers and readymade graphics for scrapbooking. For instance, if you are planning to have your scrapbooking project with a wedding theme, then you can check out for magazines on weddings and similar things. You could use the same idea with the help of some kid related magazine.

3. Greeting cards, wrappers, stationeries and more

Apart from magazines and newspapers there are many other places too, where you could get great stuff for your project. Letters, envelopes, stationeries and old cards would provide great pictures for your scrapbook page. You could also try with using wrappers. When you go about wrappers, ensure that they have many pictures on it and are not recurrent.

That is why it is important that you have a scrapbook or memory box to place your pictures from the trip. When you organize and scrapbook the pics you’ll be able to enjoy your trip again and again. You’ll love the fact that you can do so much more with the pictures then just in the closet. You can forever put your trip on display. There are lot of little things that you will do on your trip and you’ll want to bring back some of memorabilia. Some times you’ll be able to save a paper napkin or a matchbox to give you a little piece of the memory. Even if you take a casino slip of a lose, you’ll be able to reflect on it a few years later and have a lot of laughs over it.

You will have a wonderful time during a cruise when you make the most of your time and pressure your memories. You will find that there are lots of things that you can do to preserve your memories and you don’t have to steal anything from the cabin or various establishments that you may visit. Get creative when it comes to finding things to add to your trip’s scrapbook.

Materials:

• Clever Lever Super Jumbo Scalloped Heart Punch
• Clever Lever Jumbo Daisy Punch
• Clever Lever Standard Daisy Punch
• DecoColor™ Extra Fine Silver
• DecoColro™ Silver Calligraphy Pen
• Paper Trimming Buddy: Straight Blade
• Mini Glue Tape
• Wedding Faded Paisley (Dé ja Views )
• Vellum 40 lb.
• Adhesive Pearls (K & Company)
• Black & Grey Cardstock
• Accu-Cut Die A-7 Card Foldout #4
• Xyron Sticker Machine with Permanent Adhesive
• Glue Stick

Steps:

1. Cut Invitation base out of black cardstock using an Accu-Cut Die Cutting Machine and the Accu-Cut Die A-7 Card Foldout #4.
2. Size computer generated Wedding Information so that it can be cut 4 ½” x 6 ½. Print Wedding information onto 40lb. Vellum and run through Xyron Sticker Machine to get an even coat of adhesive on the back of the vellum. Adhere to the Wedding Faded Paisley scrapbook paper and cut to 4 ½” x 6 ½”. Add glue tape to back of paisley paper and adhere to a piece of dk. grey cardstock 4 ¾” x 6 ¾”. Adhere to inside of black wedding invitation base.
3. Cut a 1” x 11” strip of Wedding Faded Paisley, adhere to 1 ¼” x 11” piece of black cardstock, then adhere layers to a 1 ½” x 11” piece of grey cardstock. Gently fold around invitation so that each end of the layers meet in the middle of the invitation. Adhere ends together.
4. Punch two Super Scalloped Hearts one from the Silver Wedding Texture scrapbook paper the other from black cardstock. Glue the two hearts together. Using the Silver Calligraphy Pen, add a thin silver line around the front of the scrapbook heart. Add small dots with the Extra Fine Silver Deco Pen in each scallop.
5. Punch two daisies from both the standard and jumbo daisy punches. Adhere both daisy sets together so that you can see all petals. Glue smaller daisy on top of larger daisy, add small adhesive pearl to middle of daisy. Adhere to middle of the Invitation Band to cover seam.
